I have never been one to be overly bitter about valentines day. If I am going to bitter about anything in regards to this holiday its going to be about the downfall of society, and the fact that this stupid holiday is ONLY here to make money. Fuck a love day, everyday is love day. This is actaully THE dumbest and most detrimental holiday ever. Not only does it cause people to pull out their wallets less than two months after xmas (and usually on a last minute basis) but it causes stress, depression, jealousy and even in many extreme cases suicidal thoughts. Now dont get me wrong, I know this holiday can be harmless and fun..... if youre in a happy, healthy, stable relationship with a good person. But if youre not, like most of us it can be a very hard day to get through.
I feel bad for single women who put SO much importance on this holiday, as if it defines their worth or even worse makes them deem themselves "unlovable" or "unwanted." This holiday makes women wish they were in other womens shoes, seeing their friends man bring home flowers and chocolate and blah blah blah. Just because this man does this, does NOT mean he is faithful, it does NOT mean they are happy and it DOES NOT mean he is the perfect man.... it just means he bought flowers (its really so little, almost no effort but yet it takes a holiday to remind most men to do this). Remember the grass is greenest wherever you are, so appreciate who you do have and build, reciprocate and enjoy each other 365 days a year.
This post goes out to ALL women: wives, girlfriends, babymammas, side chicks, single women who have ever felt the sadness of this day. For every woman who has said FUCK MEN (and you know we've all done it ladies, you know, sworn off men....until our ex calls and we melt and fall back into the same fuckin shit), for every woman who has been cheated on or realized they were the one he was cheating with. For every bad break up, for every lost friend.... For every good man you couldnt make it work with but still love. For every moment spent missing someone. For every tear dropped over this drug we call love. For every young girl out there looking for her fathers missing love. STOP! LOVE YOURSELF. Look in the mirror and say I AM A BEAUTIFUL LADY, HAPPY FUCKIN VALENTINES BABY.
Just for fun I would like to end this post with a quote by my friend Roxanne: a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle.
Goodnight world! LOVE!
