RANT TOPIC: KONY 2012

Its one thing to not support someones effort or struggle, but its a whole other thing to spend your energy putting it down.  So what if you think KONY 2012 is a bad plan, a waste of energy/money or not the right steps or direction to go in......MAKE YOUR OWN PLAN AND LEAVE THEIRS ALONE.  Honestly, some people go from lazy living to all of sudden knowing better than everyone else.  You haven't done shit for anyone other than yourself ever but now you wanna tell us why we shouldn't support someone who is trying help the world.  You have the right to your opinion yes but sit the fuck down and whisper. 

And all this bullshit about the world being brainwashed by youtube videos is ridiculous.  If it honestly took you this long to realize that, you are really slow.  I am not being rude and I am just stating an unfortunate reality.  Brainwashing has been going on through mainstream news, media, religion, music, entertainment, porn, etc for hundreds of years if not longer.  So to say now that we are dumb for believing this KONY 2012 video is just ridiculous.  Start with Lil Wayne, Disney and The Bible....end with the little people who are trying to make the world a better place (whether or not you think they're doing it the right way, that's not for you to judge).  

Not to mention, some girl makes a YouTube video saying why the KONY 2012 movement inst real and everyone hops sides and calls everyone else stupid and brainwashed for believing it.... yet YOU are watching a YouTube video (by a girl who we know NOTHING about) and believing that source is better... who's brainwashed and dumb now?! Really tho..  I would rather look like a fool trying to help than a fool trying to hop sides out of insecurity that they could be wrong.  

At the end of the day, any cause that brings humanity together through compassion strengthens the bonds of humanity.  And that bond, is the only thing that will save us from this world (monster) we have created.

This is how I feel about religion, pretty much summed up in the words "religion is a distraction from God." Santa, religion, the bible, society.. all distractions from God, from your heart, from looking inside yourself for the answers where God put them. I believe God is an energy that lives within all of us and surrounds all of us.  He is more powerful than the Devil (basically meaning good energy overpowers evil energy) and he manifest through love, kindness and forgiveness. I have never put much thought into Jesus, mostly because he is so strongly associated with religion... but this video presents an interesting outlook on it, in which I see the logic and plausibility.

This right here is the definition of a well raised man.  He is only 19 but he speaks well beyond his years.  He comes from a place of genuinity and compassion.  In my opinion, I think his statement "the sexual orientation of my parents has had ZERO effect on the content of my character" is false.  I think the fact the his parents are gay has made him a better human being.  And to overstand why I am saying this, you must first overstand what it is like to be judged and hated by most of the world.  To be the underdog and still smile takes strength.  To overcome hate and be beautiful takes courage.  To choose to go against society knowing the hardships it may bring, in the name of being who you are takes self-love.  So to say these two beautiful people being in love together standing strong in the face of adversity has had no effect on him has to be wrong.  His point is still clear though.
   

He has grown up with these two women who I believe, just from hearing him speak, are filled with love, compassion and kindness.  He seems like a man who cares about people and is kind to the world.  He is well-spoken, intelligent and couragous.  He doesnt seem the type to hate, judge and discriminate. He is clearly a better result than many of the people out there in this crazy world.  I think the world would be a better place if everyone who raised kids were like these people... and by these people I mean these kind, strong, compassionate, beautiful, couragous, loving, healthy minded people.
